A world set in the heart [ENG/PL]

It is only when we are mature enough to consciously encounter the broader lack of value in life that we begin to understand that value cannot be based on the outside world. Neither on specific people, nor on work, nor on money, nor on technology, nor on spirituality, nor on alcohol, nor even on any thought about ourselves.

As long as we seek constancy in the external world, life will keep verifying our beliefs until we awaken to the space of the heart where all judgements cease to matter, where we love ourselves unconditionally and are able to bestow and illuminate the world with the same kind of love.

This is not easy, mainly because we are often not aware of what conditions us, what controls our behaviour, our choices or the people we attract into our lives. And what’s worse, we often don’t want to be aware of it – because that would mean having to take responsibility for ourselves and for situations we’re not used to taking responsibility for. For example: genes, the family we were born into, the school we went to, etc, etc.

And so we go on living, poor victims of life. We hurt ourselves and others by justifying it:
or parents; or that nobody taught us to love; or that circumstances define who we are. Our bodies become a reflection of our posture in life: hunched backs, sunken shoulders, general stiffness of the spine, joints and muscles. The constant and chronic presence of pain makes us forget that it is possible to live in freedom from suffering.

And it is possible!
I begin by taking responsibility for ourselves in situations that have happened to us; that we have co-created with our presence, mind, emotions and actions. Difficult, isn’t it? And this is only the beginning…
Because the second step, completing the story, is FORGIVENESS. Forgiving yourself and others, forgiving Fate for sending you here, forgiving humanity for losing its humanity.
Truisms I will leave for another time, but I have a message for you:
Stop blaming yourself or others for what has happened to you. However tragic or unpleasant it may be, take responsibility. Do yourself this favour and release yourself from the stories and histories that negatively affect your wellbeing and well-being. Return to your heart space, give yourself the opportunity to experience life fully, in the here and now.

With loving attention

P.S. To build clarity: I am not questioning your story, your pain and suffering, your loss. It was. It was important. But it’s gone now, and you’re here, and you don’t need to be defined by those stories anymore.

POLSKI

Krzywdzimy siebie i innych usprawiedliwiając to:

Trudne, prawda? A to dopiero początek…
